League of Legends Skin Tiers and Prices

Riot sells skins in five price tiers: Deluxe at 750 RP, Standard at 975, Epic at 1,350, Legendary at 1,820 and Ultimate at 3,250. Prestige, Mythic and Exalted skins sit outside that ladder and use their own currencies or draws. Here's what each tier costs in RP and in money, and how the special ones are earned.

LoL skin tiers and prices

The money column is the cheapest set of US RP bundles that covers the skin, starting from an empty balance. Because RP only comes in bundles, you usually end up with a little left over.

Some old skins still sell for 520 RP or less. Higher tiers tend to get more animation and audio work, but Riot doesn't give every skin in a tier the same feature list. Prices in euros, pounds or reais are in our guide to RP prices by region.

Every Ultimate skin in LoL

There are seven. Six cost 3,250 RP; Gun Goddess Miss Fortune costs 2,775. The newest is Soul Fighter Samira from 2023, and we found no Ultimate released since, as of October 2026.

What makes them Ultimate is that they change during a game or on your command. Elementalist Lux has ten elemental forms. DJ Sona switches between three tracks your team can hear. Pulsefire Ezreal upgrades his suit as he levels, and K/DA ALL OUT Seraphine has three forms that follow her music career. None of it touches stats.

What is Legendary in League of Legends?

Legendary is the 1,820 RP tier, one below Ultimate. A modern Legendary usually brings new animations, new voice lines and new effects, which is more than an Epic at 1,350 RP gets. The Magnificent Twisted Fate, from 2010, is usually named as the first Legendary skin. Set it beside a recent one and you can see how far the work has come.

Prestige skins and Mythic Essence

Prestige skins are special editions, usually a known skin redone in new colours and materials. You get them in one of two ways: by reaching the Prestige milestone on a paid Battle Pass, or by spending Mythic Essence (ME) in the Mythic Shop.

ME is a separate currency from RP. Riot's Mythic Shop FAQ (April 2026) says the Sanctum has been the main source since 2025. The shop sells returning Prestige and Mythic skins, new Prestige skins, chromas, emotes and icons, and its stock changes every patch. Having enough ME doesn't mean the skin you want is on sale, so you may have to wait for it to rotate back. Find the shop in the client's Loot tab.

Exalted skins and the most expensive collections

Exalted skins come from Sanctum pulls paid for with Ancient Sparks, at 400 RP each. In Riot's October 2024 post on Arcane Fractured Jinx, each pull had a 0.5% chance and the skin was guaranteed within 80 pulls, so the most you could spend was about 32,000 RP.

The priciest items in the store are the Hall of Legends Signature collections. Faker's Signature Immortalized Legend Ahri cost 59,260 RP in 2024, and Caps' Signature Tristana collection in 2026 costs 58,865 RP. Both prices cover a bundle of skins, signed cosmetics and pass progress, not one skin.

What is the rarest skin in League of Legends?

Riot doesn't publish ownership numbers, so no one can prove which skin is rarest. The strongest candidates are the Limited skins that were only ever handed out once. Riot's guide to Legacy and Limited skins records how they were given out:

Rare and expensive aren't the same thing. A 58,000 RP collection on sale today will end up with more owners than a skin handed out at a convention in 2009. Legacy skins, unlike Limited ones, can come back through gifting or Hextech crafting.

Do skins help you climb?

No. A skin changes how a champion looks and sounds. Damage, stats, LP and MMR stay exactly the same. If rank is what you're after, a skin won't move it. That's the job of practice, coaching or a LoL boost, and Riot treats paid boosting as against its rules.
